Hawaii won't be penalized for USC's transgressions.

Despite a two-year ban on postseason games and a 12-game limit to the regular-season schedule, the Trojans announced that the NCAA Committee on Infractions will allow USC to play Hawaii in a 13th game this season.

USC's opener, set for Sept. 2 in Hawaii, was in jeopardy based on the penalties levied in the wake of the Reggie Bush investigation. The 12-game limit will begin in 2012, however.

"We want to thank the Committee for granting this relief; it recognizes the serious financial impacts game cancellation would have had to the University and State of Hawaii as well as the fans and supporters of USC who have already made travel arrangements," USC senior vice president for administration Todd Dickey said in a statement.
