LOS ANGELES -- A public memorial service for John Wooden will be held June 26 at UCLA's Pauley Pavilion, where Wooden coached the Bruins to several of their record 10 national basketball championships under him.
About 6,000 seats in Pauley's middle and upper levels will be available to the public on a general admission basis. Floor seats will be reserved for the Wooden family, current and former Bruins basketball players and coaches and other designated guests.
For those not admitted to Pauley, the 90-minute service will be shown live on two video boards in nearby Drake Stadium. The university said Thursday that the service will begin at 2 p.m. ET.
The service will be televised live in Los Angeles.
Wooden died June 4 at age 99.
