ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The family of the late John Wooden has agreed to continue the college basketball doubleheader named for him and played in Anaheim, Calif., for the last 16 years.
Jim Wooden and Nancy Muehlhausen, the coach's son and daughter, said in a statement Wednesday that they're proud the event will continue to celebrate their father's life and legacy.
Wooden, who coached UCLA to a record 10 national championships, died last month at 99. He regularly attended the doubleheader in Anaheim and presented trophies to the winning teams.
