Harlem Globetrotters bring high-flying fun to Los Angeles

Coming off the most successful year in the franchise's illustrious history, with a record-breaking 62 box offices records and over two million smiling fans, the iconic Harlem Globetrotters are primed to showcase their eye-popping 2010 "Magical Memories" World Tour in the Southland, with the wholesome family entertainment known worldwide for thrilling fans young and old and making cherished family memories.

  • Saturday, February 13 - Honda Center, Anaheim (1:00pm and 7:00pm)
  • Sunday, February 14 - STAPLES Center, Los Angeles (1:00pm and 6:00pm)
  • Monday, February 15 - Citizens Business Bank Arena, Ontario (1:00pm)

Now in their 84th consecutive season of touring the world, the Globetrotters' high-flying show features some of the most extraordinary athletes and entertainers on the planet - including Big Easy Lofton and Flight Time Lang, stars of this past season's edition of the Emmy Award-winning CBS reality hit, "The Amazing Race," ball handling wizard Handles Franklin, the gravity-defying Hi Rise Brown, and many more. "The Harlem Globetrotters are the epitome of world-class family fun," says Michael Kenney, the Globetrotters' senior vice president, live event marketing.

Sponsored by Campbell Soup Company, Spalding, Howard Johnson and America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses, the Harlem Globetrotters will take the court Saturday, February 13, 2010 for 1:00pm and 7:00pm games at the Honda Center (2695 East Katella Avenue, Anaheim); Sunday, February 14, 2010 for 1:00pm and 6:00pm games at STAPLES Center (1111 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles); and Monday, February 15, 2010 for a 1:00pm game at Citizens Business Bank Arena (4000 East Ontario Center Parkway, Ontario). Tickets, starting as low as $16, vary per venue and are available online at www.ticketmaster.com. Individual ticket information can also be found on the Harlem Globetrotters' official Web site: www.harlemglobetrotters.com, as well as info on group and scout tickets. Metro riders can save $5 on select seats to the STAPLES Center 6:00pm Globetrotters game. Bring your Metro Pass, Metro Rail ticket or Destination Discounts card to the box office for your discount or go online and use the promo code METRO. Restrictions apply. Additionally, active or retired military members may simply bring their military I.D. to the venue box offices to gain up to $15 off select seats at all southland venues.

The Globetrotters will perform nearly 270 shows in over 215 cities in 44 states, the District of Columbia, five Canadian provinces and Puerto Rico through the first week of May 2010.

The Original Harlem Globetrotters have played in 120 countries on six continents, entertaining over 130 million fans and crossing barriers between cultures, societies and people from all walks of life. The Globetrotters are one of only six teams to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
