Monasterios to DL with finger injuries

BOSTON -- The Los Angeles Dodgers put Carlos Monasterios on the 15-day disabled list with injuries to fingers on his pitching hand, clearing a roster spot for Vicente Padilla, who was activated from the DL and started Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox.

Monasterios was torched for six runs over four innings on Friday night against the Red Sox, after which manager Joe Torre hinted that Monasterios' spot in the starting rotation might be in jeopardy. But as a Rule 5 draft pick, ...
