Struggling Kazmir heads to DL

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Things have gone from bad to worse for Los Angeles Angels pitcher Scott Kazmir, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list following the Angels' 2-1 loss to the Seattle Mariners Sunday afternoon.

The left-hander was due to start Tuesday against the New York Yankees, but will miss it because of fatigue in his throwing shoulder.

"I think there's some stiffness there," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "It certainly came up just now."
