Miami's Thearon Collier moves to USC

LOS ANGELES -- Former Miami special-teams standout Thearon Collier has transferred to USC, coach Lane Kiffin announced Saturday.

Collier attended USC's scrimmage on campus Saturday and will begin practicing with the service team Monday, but the 5-foot-9 receiver will have to sit out the 2010 season due to transfer rules. Collier played two seasons for the Hurricanes, catching 44 passes for 574 yards. He returned two punts for touchdowns last season as a sophomore.
