Dodgers to open 2011 at home vs. S.F.

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Los Angeles Dodgers will begin the 2011 season against the San Francisco Giants on April 1 at Dodger Stadium, the first time the Dodgers will open on a Friday in 32 years.

Major League Baseball released preliminary schedules for all 30 clubs Tuesday. The Dodgers' opener will be their first at home since 2008, when they also opened against the Giants.
