Casey Blake has MRI on back

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Casey Blake had a precautionary MRI exam on Monday to make sure the discomfort he is feeling in his back near his rib cage isn't something more serious than team medical officials believe it to be.

The test results weren't expected back before Tuesday, but Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said there is no reason at this point to believe Blake will miss significant time.
