Kings' Jarret Stoll suspended 1 game

The NHL has suspended Los Angeles Kings center Jarret Stoll one game for his check from behind on San Jose Sharks defenseman Ian White Thursday night.

Stoll will serve the suspension during Game 2 Saturday night in San Jose.

Stoll hit White from behind into the end boards in the second period, knocking the dazed Sharks blueliner out of the game. There was no penalty on the play, but replays showed there likely should have been a boarding call.
