Andre Ethier extends hit streak to 26

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier extended his major league-record for the longest April hitting streak to 26 games, the second-longest by any Dodgers player since the team moved to town from Brooklyn in 1958.

Ethier did it with an opposite-field, bloop single off San Diego Padres right-hander Tim Stauffer in the bottom of the fourth inning on Saturday night.

"This has been fun," Ethier said after the game, during which he went 2-for-4 in a 5-2 loss. ...
