WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Ticker) -- Mike Prokopec scored the winning goal in the shootout and Manny Legace turned aside 27 shots to lead the Manitoba Moose to a 3-2 victory over the Utah Grizzlies. Prokopec, the seventh shootout participant, slid the winner past Ian Gordon, giving Manitoba its first win in three games. Legace stopped six of seven shootout attempts to run his record to 6-5-1. Rusty Fitzgerald and Patrice Tardif scored for Manitoba. Jim Montgomery added two assists for the Moose, who increased their lead over Utah to six points. Rob Bonneau and Sean Tallaire scored for Utah, which had a four-game winning streak broken.
