THE HOME RUN BY ANAHEIM'S GARRET ANDERSON IN THE TOP OF THE SEVENTH INNING WAS THE 200TH OF HIS MAJOR LEAGUE CAREER.
THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX TURNED A TRIPLE PLAY IN THE TOP OF THE SIXTH INNING. ANAHEIM'S BENGIE MOLINA GROUNDED TO THIRD BASEMAN JOE CREDE, WHO STEPPED ON THIRD BASE TO FORCE OUT DARIN ERSTAD. THEN CREDE THREW THE BALL TO JUAN URIBE TO FORCE OUT TIM SALMON AT SECOND BASE. URIBE THREW TO FIRST BASEMAN PAUL KONERKO TO COMPLETE THE TRIPLE PLAY. IT WAS CHICAGO'S FIRST TRIPLE PLAY SINCE SEPTEMBER 13, 2000, WHEN THEY TURNED ONE AGAINST DETROIT.
