Wilder hired as special assistant to White Sox GM

CHICAGO -- Dave Wilder was hired Wednesday as a special assistant to Chicago White Sox general manager Kenny Williams.

Wilder spent the last four seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers, working as a special assignment scout last season after serving as vice president of player personnel from 2000-02. He was the Brewers' primary talent evaluator at both the major and minor league levels, and oversaw the scouting and player development systems.
