Pretrial conference set for Feb. 6
PITTSBURGH -- Florida Marlins catcher Ramon Castro pleaded not guilty Friday to charges he raped a woman in his hotel room last August.
Castro was not required to be at his formal arraignment, so defense attorney J. Alan Johnson entered the plea for him.
A pretrial conference will be held Feb. 6, when a trial date is expected to be set.
Castro, a 27-year-old married father of two, remains free on
