Timo's tenure with Mets comes to end

Chicago White Sox: The White Sox added some depth to their bench and outfield Saturday as they acquired Timo Perez from the New York Mets for pitcher Matt Ginter.

Perez, who turns 29 on April 8, is a solid defensive outfielder with above average speed. He batted .269 with four home runs and 42 RBI in 127 games last season. He was battling for playing time with the Mets after they signed center fielder Mike Cameron and Shane Spencer and Karim Garcia to platoon in right field.
