Blue Jays trade Adams to Red Sox

Toronto Blue Jays: The Blue Jays traded right-hander Terry Adams to the Boston Red Sox on Saturday for a minor leaguer.

Adams went 4-4 with a 3.98 ERA in 42 games. He lost his job as Toronto's setup man earlier this season.

The 31-year-old Adams signed a one-year, $1.7 million contract with Toronto in the offseason after playing for Philadelphia in 2003.

The Red Sox are Adams' fifth team.
