Dec. 2, 2004 -- San Francisco Chronicle reports Jason Giambi admits to taking steroids provided by Greg Anderson and BALCO during his testimony in front of grand jury in Dec. 2003.

Oct. 5, 2004 -- Giambi is left off postseason roster for both ALDS and ALCS.

July 30, 2004 -- Giambi is diagnosed with benign tumor reportedly in the pituitary gland and is placed on 15-day disabled list.

June 29, 2004 -- Giambi is diagnosed with intestinal parasite.
