Burnitz deal could climb to $11.5M

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs didn't waste any time finding a replacement for Sammy Sosa.
The Cubs agreed to a $5 million, one-year contract with outfielder Jeromy Burnitz on Wednesday, announcing it as the same time as the trade that sent Sosa to the Baltimore Orioles.
"Well, he played right field for them and I'm going to go to
right, so I guess I'm replacing him," Burnitz said. "I'm really
