Werth wants to play in opener
VERO BEACH, Fla. -- The MRI and CT scan performed on Los Angeles Dodgers left fielder Jayson Werth's broken left wrist showed improvement, and he is hoping to be ready for the April 5 opener at San Francisco.
"It's getting better. I think I'm a couple of days away" from getting back to full workouts, Werth said Thursday. "I think I only need a couple of days swinging the bat to get ready."
