Bonds to play in charity golf tournament

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic -- San Francisco Giants outfielder Barry Bonds will play in the 20th annual Juan Marichal Golf Classic in the Dominican Republic next week. Bonds

Bonds will be the main attraction at the Jan. 21-23 tournament, Marichal said Thursday.

Tournament proceeds go to the needy in Marichal's native Dominican Republic.

Bonds, who missed most of the season after knee surgery, returned in September to hit .286 with five homers and 10 RBI ...
