Michaels gets probation, community service for fight
PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Jason Michaels agreed Friday to complete 100 hours of community service to settle charges that he allegedly assaulted a city police officer.
"I'm glad this matter has been resolved," Michaels, 29, told the Philadelphia Inquirer after the sentencing in Philadelphia Municipal Court. "Basically, I'm looking forward to spring training."
