Perez, Reds agree to deal; Krivsky fires Kullman

CINCINNATI -- Reserve outfielder Timo Perez and the Cincinnati Reds agreed to a minor-league contract on Thursday.

Perez

Perez was a part-time player for the World Series champion Chicago White Sox last year. He hit .218 in 76 games last season, his second with Chicago. He previously played four years with the New York Mets.

The White Sox declined to offer Perez a contract after last season, making him a free agent.
