Kazmir cuts throwing session short
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Playing catch for the first time in two weeks, Tampa Bay Devil Rays pitcher Scott Kazmir felt some discomfort in his ailing left shoulder Friday and stopped the session after nine throws.
Kazmir has been on the disabled list twice since the All-Star break because of shoulder inflammation. The left-hander said he doesn't think the problem is serious.
