Conjunctivitis knocks Angels' Anderson out of game

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Garret Anderson of the Los Angeles Angels left after two innings of Game 3 of the American League Division Series against Boston on Sunday because of conjunctivitis in his swollen right eye.

The left fielder flied out to right field in his only at-bat. He was replaced by Reggie Willits.

First baseman Casey Kotchman didn't play and was replaced by Kendry Morales. Kotchman had a non-baseball-related medical condition and was not available, manager Mike Scioscia ...
