Report: Padres keep Greene in the mix with two-year, $11 million deal

SAN DIEGO -- Khalil Greene's big 2007 season with the San Diego Padres resulted in the shortstop agreeing to a two-year, $11 million guaranteed contract with the team, according to a published report.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that Greene, who gave up two arbitration years in signing the deal, could increase the value of the deal if he reaches certain performance bonuses.
