Red Sox announce Schilling, 30 other players making Tokyo trip

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Curt Schilling will travel to Tokyo with the Red Sox on Wednesday despite being on the 60-day disabled list with a shoulder injury that is expected to sideline him at least half the season.

The right-hander doesn't count against the 30-man roster for Boston's exhibition games on Saturday against the Hanshin Tigers and Sunday against the Yomiuri Giants.
