Tigers' Granderson cleared to start working out after breaking hand

DETROIT -- Tigers center fielder Curtis Granderson can start working out Monday after Detroit determined his broken right hand had healed sufficiently.

"It's still broke," Granderson told the Detroit Free Press. "It's healing. It's not healed. That's the thing I still have to keep in mind.

"And I know it's going to hurt. It's just a matter of how much."

Granderson broke a bone in his right hand when he was hit by Philadelphia's Travis Blackley on March 22.
