Randolph denies report that said he was offered job on Nats staff

Former New York Mets Willie Randolph refuted a weekend report in Newsday that said he declined a chance to join the Nationals' staff either as bench coach or third base coach.

"There are [stories] out there that I turned down the Washington [third base] coaching job," Randolph said, according to the New York Post. "That's not true.
