Oliver signs one-year, $3.665M contract

Lefty reliever Darren Oliver avoided salary arbitration with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, signing a one-year, $3.665 million contract with the club.

Oliver's agent, Mike McCann of the Franklin-Frye-McCann group, confirmed the signing.

Oliver joins leadoff hitter Chone Figgins as the second Angel this week to avoid a salary arbitration hearing. Figgins agreed to a one-year, $5.775 million deal on Wednesday.

Oliver, 38, has a 101-82 record in 15 seasons in the majors. ...
