Blue Jays, reliever Camp agree on $750,000 deal
TORONTO -- Reliever Shawn Camp, who had filed for salary arbitration, and the Toronto Blue Jays agreed Saturday on a $750,000, one-year contract.
The Blue Jays have now reached deals with all of their arbitration-eligible players. General manager J.P. Ricciardi has never taken a player to a hearing since joining the team after the 2001 season.
The Blue Jays haven't gone to a hearing since failing to agree with Bill Risley in 1997.
