Glaus could resume play in 7-10 days
NEW YORK -- Troy Glaus' bulging disk in his lower back has not responded to treatment, forcing the St. Louis Cardinals to shut down the third baseman's minor league rehab assignment.
Glaus had arthroscopic shoulder surgery in January and hasn't played all season. The Cardinals have used six players at third with Glaus out and acquired Mark DeRosa from Cleveland in June to help anchor the position for the rest of the year.
