Jose Bautista agrees to extension

JUPITER, Fla. -- The Toronto Blue Jays and third baseman Jose Bautista agreed to a five-year contract extension Thursday.

The contract is worth $64 million and includes financial support for Bautista's charitable activities in Toronto and the Dominican Republic.

"I feel very happy because I have enjoyed playing in Toronto and now I'll stay here at least five more years," Bautista said Thursday.
