The injury occurred in the first inning after Mora bunted for a hit, then scurried back to first base on an attempted pickoff by left-hander Kazuhisa Ishii.

Mora took second on a single by Miguel Tejada, but was removed for pinch-runner Jose Leon, who scored on Rafael Palmeiro's single.

X-rays on Mora's foot were negative.

Mora, the AL player of the month for May, is leading the Orioles with a .354 average and 11 home runs. He has 41 RBIs and 57 runs scored.
