Julio had 22 saves in 26 chances last season, but lost his job as closer during a rough stretch in September. He finished 2-5 with a 4.57 ERA in 65 games.

The right-hander allowed 13 runs in his last 16 outings, allowing five homers over 15 innings. B.J. Ryan took over as the stopper, although Julio hopes to compete for the job at spring training.

Julio, who made $385,000 last year, was eligible for arbitration for the first time. He filed for $2.9 million, and Baltimore proposed $2.35 million.

The Orioles have one player remaining in arbitration among the six who filed last month: left-hander John Parrish. He asked for a raise from $320,000 to $825,000, and the Orioles offered $575,000.

A hearing is scheduled for Monday.
