DETROIT -- Craig Monroe, the last Detroit player in salary arbitration, agreed Thursday to a $2.8 million, one-year contract.
The 28-year-old outfielder earned $400,000 last season, when he hit .277 with 20 home runs and a team-high 89 RBI.
He had asked for $3.05 million in arbitration and had been offered $2.45 million by the Tigers.
