Brewers, Clark agree to one-year, $3.2M contract

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers and center fielder Brady Clark agreed to a $3.2 million, one-year contract and avoided a salary arbitration hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

Clark led the Brewers with a .306 batting average and 94 runs scored last year, his first season as a regular starter. He had 13 homers and 53 RBI.

The 32-year-old made $1,425,000 last year, including $275,000 in bonuses. He had asked for $3.5 million in arbitration, and the Brewers had offered $3 million.
