Reliever MacDougal to DL witjh shoulder inflamation

CHICAGO -- The Chicago White Sox placed reliever Mike MacDougal on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation and activated right-hander Dewon Day before Friday's day-night doubleheader against Minnesota.
The right-handed MacDougal is 1-3 with a 6.23 ERA in 31 appearances.
Day went on the disabled list with a sore back on June 16 and made three appearances on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte. He was 0-0 with a 5.19 ERA in seven games with the White Sox before Friday's doubleheader.
