Prior feels pain in back of shoulder in latest rehab outing
San Diego Padres right-hander Mark Prior has had a setback in his rehabilitation, ESPN.com's Buster Olney reports.
In his last rehab outing, he threw 10 or 15 pitches and had a feeling "like a firecracker going off in the back of his shoulder."

Prior, who has a career record of 42-29 with a 3.51 ERA, is seeking a second opinion from noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews.
Prior signed a $1 million deal with his hometown Padres in December, with the chance to make more in incentives. He started the season on the 60-day disabled list and was expected to be ready to pitch in the big leagues about June 1.
Prior was the second pick of the 2001 draft by the Chicago Cubs and was in the big leagues the following season. He went 18-6 with a 2.43 ERA in 2003 when the Cubs made it to the National League Championship Series, only to fall apart against the Florida Marlins. Prior was on the mound when the wheels came off in the pivotal Game 6 "Bartman" contest.
That season marked Prior's only All-Star selection. He was third in Cy Young Award voting in 2003 as well, but injuries have plagued him since that season. Prior and the Cubs could not come to terms this past offseason after the right-hander missed all of 2007.
