CHICAGO -- Cleveland Indians catcher Victor Martinez left Thursday's game against the Chicago White Sox with a left index finger injury.

Martinez popped out to start the fourth and was replaced by Kelly Shoppach in the bottom of the inning.

The Indians catcher, who has yet to hit a homer this season in 140 at-bats, angrily kicked a bucket of sunflower seeds in the dugout after an at-bat Wednesday night and got his foot stuck. The tantrum, which was caught by television cameras, was the talk of the Indians clubhouse Thursday.
