Gagne throws brief session off mound
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Brewers reliever Eric Gagne threw about 25 pitches off the mound Sunday as he continues to recover from right rotator cuff tendinitis.

Gagne smiled, but declined to speak after the session. He said on Saturday that he felt about "90 percent" healthy and was eager to throw from the mound "just to start getting the feeling back." There is no timetable for his return.
After a few minutes of long toss, Gagne quickly worked off the mound. The righty had said he hoped to throw at about 60 percent intensity in his first session back.
The 2003 NL Cy Young winner went on the disabled list May 23, retroactive to two days before when he felt tightness in his shoulder. The Brewers' biggest offseason acquisition, Gagne is 1-2 with a 6.98 ERA in 20 games.
