Brocail on DL with strained hammy
WASHINGTON -- Right-hander Brian Moehler was activated off the 15-day disabled list by the Houston Astros to make Monday's start against the Washington Nationals.
To make room for Moehler on the roster, the Astros placed right-handed reliever Doug Brocail on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring. Brocail left Sunday's game at Atlanta on a cart after hurting himself taking a throw at first base.
It's the second trip to the DL this season for Brocail, who is 1-0 with a 4.76 ERA in seven games. He was on the disabled list from April 11-25 with a right rotator cuff strain.
Moehler was 0-2 with a 27.00 ERA in two starts, then missed three starts with a right knee sprain.
