DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers made two roster moves and a major lineup change before Tuesday night's game against the Minnesota Twins.
The Tigers placed outfielder Carlos Guillen on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder and Achilles tendon injuries and optioned left-handed pitcher Clay Rapada to Triple-A Toledo. Detroit filled the roster spots by recalling first baseman Jeff Larish and outfielder Clete Thomas from Toledo.
Tigers manager Jim Leyland also dropped Magglio Ordonez to sixth in the batting order. Ordonez, who hadn't hit that low in the batting order since 1998, came into the game hitting .242 after compiling a .323 average in his first four years with the Tigers.
