CLEVELAND -- The Indians have activated infielder Asdrubal Cabrera from the 15-day disabled list and put him in the lineup Sunday against Cincinnati.

Cabrera had been sidelined since June 3 with a shoulder injury sustained in a collision at second base in Minnesota. He was scheduled to bat first and play shortstop in the finale of a three-game interleague series against the Reds.

The 23-year-old Cabrera takes the roster spot of Mark DeRosa, who was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals after Cleveland's 7-3 loss to the Reds on Saturday night.

Cabrera was hitting .316 with two homers and 27 RBIs, splitting time between second base and shortstop, in 53 games before getting hurt.

He was 4 for 16 in four games at Double-A Akron during a rehab stint.
