ST. LOUIS -- Houston starter Wandy Rodriguez left Saturday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals in the fifth inning with a strained right hamstring.

Astros trainer Nathan Lucero tended to Rodriguez (10-6) in the top of the inning after he reached first on a fielder's choice. After a short talk with Lucero and manager Cecil Cooper, Rodriguez stayed in the game before he was forced at second base on Michael Bourn's fielder's choice.

Rodriguez, who had won a personal-best five consecutive decisions, didn't come out for the bottom of the inning. He gave up three hits and one run, a home run by Matt Holliday in the second, striking out four in his four innings.
