PITTSBURGH -- Dodgers Opening Day starter Vicente Padilla will get a second start ahead of No. 5 Charlie Haeger despite being roughed up in his first outing.

Dodgers manager Joe Torre said the right-handed Padilla (0-1) will start Saturday night at Florida. Haeger, a knuckleballer with 39 strikeouts and 33 walks in 53 big league innings over parts of four seasons, will start Sunday against the Marlins.

Padilla, expected to be the No. 4 starter when spring training began, gave up seven runs and six hits and walked three in 4 1/3 innings of the Dodgers' 11-5 loss to the Pirates on Monday.

Although the Dodgers had Tuesday off, Torre plans to rest left fielder Manny Ramirez and, possibly, third baseman Casey Blake during Thursday afternoon's game in Pittsburgh.
