ARLINGTON, Texas -- Detroit shortstop Adam Everett has left the Tigers' game against the Texas Rangers with a mild right hamstring strain.

Everett was replaced in the field by Ramon Santiago in the bottom of the third inning Saturday night. It wasn't immediately clear how or when Everett got hurt.
In the top of the third, Everett had a leadoff single and scored from second on Johnny Damon's double.
That came a half-inning after Everett's nice defensive play with the bases loaded, when he went deep into the hole toward third base to stab Vladimir Guerrero's grounder. Everett didn't get an out, but he held Guerrero to an infield single and only one run scored on the play.
