Twins' Morneau out another week
Manager Ron Gardenhire said Monday that Morneau will see a specialist Tuesday. The All-Star first baseman is on the disabled list and hasn't played since taking a knee to the head on July 7.
Morneau has been told to stay home and rest.
"He's been waking up in the mornings and feeling good, and then as the day goes along not so good," Gardenhire said. "So we're still in about the same place with him. As I said before, we're going to let him get well. So he won't be coming to the park."
The manager said he doubted Morneau would be cleared in time to travel with the team to Baltimore for a four-game series that begins Thursday. After his checkup, the Twins hope to have a better picture of how much more time Morneau will need, but that's not a given.
"No one knows. The doctors can only guess too," Gardenhire said.
