Cabrera coming back from broken arm

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Cleveland Indians have activated infielder Asdrubal Cabrera from the 60-day disabled list.

Manager Manny Acta says Tuesday's move was necessary because Michael Brantley and Austin Kearns are nursing minor injuries that kept them out of the lineup against the Minnesota Twins.

Cabrera broke his left forearm on May 17 against Tampa Bay after colliding with third baseman Jhonny Peralta. He hit .350 with three doubles, a homer and three RBIs during a six-game rehabilitation assignment.

Acta put Cabrera in at the top of the order playing shortstop against the Twins.

The Indians designated right-hander Jensen Lewis for assignment to make room for Cabrera. Lewis was 2-2 with a 4.18 ERA in 22 relief appearances.
