MIAMI -- Florida Marlins pitcher Ricky Nolasco is done for the season with a tear in his right knee and catcher Brett Hayes is out indefinitely with a separated left shoulder.

Nolasco (14-9, 4.51) was evaluated after experiencing some discomfort. He said he will undergo surgery next week.

"It's just not letting me do what I want to do," he said Wednesday.

Nolasco had been scheduled to start Friday against the Atlanta Braves. He will be replaced by left-hander Andrew Miller.

Hayes was injured on an inning-ending double play in the 10th inning Tuesday night when Washington's Nyjer Morgan slammed into him trying to score from second base on a ground ball.

The Marlins called up catcher Chris Hatcher from Double-A Jacksonville. Florida also called up right-hander Jorge Sosa from Triple-A New Orleans.
